Pet Care Center was begun as an vaccination and outpatient clinic in 1985. In 1987, Dr. Mount bought the clinic and over the next few months, he turned it into a full service clinic.

Dr. Mount and Dr. Makowski have a very simple mission statement- "Quality pet care at a price you can afford". They care about their patients as well as their patients' owners, and help their patients by stressing that preventative care is less costly in the long run, and has an added benefit of producing a healthier pet. They believe in a no-frills office, and they don't believe in overcharging for services.

They carry a complete line of health care products for all types of small pets. Their patient list includes dogs, cats, birds, ferrets, rabbits, snakes, sugar gliders, gerbils and hamsters.
